Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Parking Pal (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides valet parking and related concierge services at participating locations in Kuwait through our mobile and web applications (the “Service”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Account details — name, phone number, email address, and authentication credentials (password or staff PIN, stored as hashes).
• Vehicle and ticket data — plate number, vehicle description, drop-off and pickup times, parking location, key-tag number, ticket status, and vehicle photos taken at drop-off.
• Payments — amounts, method, and status. Card payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
• Staff operations — assigned locations, attendance records, hashed staff-badge identifiers, clock-in location (GPS) when required, and face-verification images used for attendance.
• Device and app data — push-notification tokens, language preference, and basic diagnostics needed to run the app.
• Support and incidents — messages, reports, and evidence photos you or staff submit.

We collect this information when you create an account, park a vehicle, request pickup, pay a fee, clock in as staff, or otherwise use the Service.

3. How we use information

• Provide valet parking, pickup, payment, and concierge services.
• Identify vehicles, issue tickets, and communicate status (including pickup alerts).
• Process fees, refunds, VIP/wallet balances, and venue reporting.
• Operate staff attendance, payroll, and site security.
• Detect fraud, abuse, and safety incidents, and comply with legal obligations.
• Improve and support the Service.

4. Legal basis

We process personal information as needed to perform our contract with you, to operate a legitimate valet business, to meet legal and accounting requirements in Kuwait (including the Kuwait Data Privacy Protection Law where it applies), and, where required, with your consent (for example, camera or location permission on your device).

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

• Venue clients — B2B location accounts may see operational ticket and vehicle data for sites they operate.
• Service providers — hosting, databases, notifications, email, and payment processors that handle data on our instructions.
• Staff at your location — valets, supervisors, and cashiers who need it to park, retrieve, or settle your vehicle.
• Authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect safety and rights.

6. International processing

Our applications and servers are hosted on cloud infrastructure (including AWS in Mumbai, India). Your information may therefore be processed outside Kuwait. We take reasonable contractual and technical steps to protect it in transit and at rest.

7. Retention

We keep account and ticket records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for operations, dispute handling, and legal or accounting requirements. Staff attendance and payroll records are kept for employment and statutory purposes. You can request deletion of your customer account at any time (see below); some records may be retained where the law requires it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as HTTPS, hashed credentials, access controls by role, and hashed staff-badge identifiers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please keep your password or PIN confidential.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated personal data.
• Withdraw consent for optional permissions (camera, location, notifications) in your device settings.

To delete a customer account, use our account deletion page or the in-app delete option. Staff and venue accounts are deactivated through an administrator. For other requests, email hello@parkingpal.com.kw.

10. Children

The Service is intended for adults using valet parking. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Cookies and local storage

The web app uses local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in and remember language and session settings. These are required for the Service to function and are not used to advertise to you across other sites.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and the revised policy will apply from that date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
